Cellumax CB-5A has been especially designed to give the highest
thermal, acoustic and performance possible, whilst containing
costs to allow for thicker application within wall cavities that
ensure the high performance levels demanded within today's
stringent Architectural and Engineering specifications. The choice
and mix of fiber, chemicals and adhesives in Cellumax CB-5A work
in coherent partnership with current choices of Dry wall system,
complimenting their strengths and limitation be it to gypsum,
brick or others.
Cellumax CB-5A used as a thermal barrier gives you high protection
against heat ingress. Pneumatically applied within the wall cavity
Cellumax CB-5A forms within the cavity, filling all voids to form
a truly monolithic barrier, completely surrounding electrical and
plumbing fittings, like only a spray applied insulation can do.
Cellumax CB-5A used a sound barrier give excellent STC (sound
transmission control) limiting any sound transfers between rooms
and from entering surrounding environs. Used extensively within
hotels for room partition walls as well as within the
entertainment Industry where "keeping noise in" is the
requirement, including air-handling equipment needs containment.
Cellumax CB-5A as a fire barrier work very well as it will
withstand more heat and fire punishment-on it's own, than any
other insulation. When used within a wall cavity Cellumax CB-5A
work as a valuable safety barrier against fire spreading, giving
occupant more time to egress from the building or structure and
minimizing fire damage. |

System Description
Cellumax CB-5A is a blend of specially prepared cellulose fibers,
organic in nature, treated with adhesive and fire resistant
chemicals. When sprayed in place, the interlocking fibers result
in mass with produces excellent sound thermal properties.
CB-5A is pneumatically spray-applied in wall and floor/ceiling
cavities to form a monolithic coating. This process seals cracks
and holes in the wallboard, around plumbing and electrical
outlets, vent ducts and other irregularities. There are no
compressed areas or voids to allow sound leaks, R value reduction,
or air infiltration.
Performance Where It Counts
Provides superior sound transfer control demanded by building
designers, owners and occupants. Cellumax CB-5A assemblies perform
closer to lab tested STC ratings in the field than do other
conventional bath and sound board systems. This is due to the
complete coverage and the sealing action of CB-5A produces
significantly higher STC values than other identically constructed
wall systems.

Thermal Performance
To obtain maximum thermal efficiency, air infiltration must to be
minimized. Sprayed in place, CB-5A completely fills cavities
around pipes and obstructions, and covers cracks. CB-5A minimizes
air infiltration and forms a highly efficient and effective
thermal barrier. It can be sprayed to virtually and exterior stud
or furred cavity, and in most cases the wall can be closed up the
same day. |
